Despite ending their nine-year relationship, the ex-couple still shares a house, making it harder for Madix to move on. Sandoval cheated on Madix with castmate Raquel Leviss, and the affair ended their relationship.
However, there have been some improvements in their living situation. Shay revealed that Sandoval contacts a mediator before entering the home and has agreed to communicate with a third party. Although he initially disregarded Madix’s need for space, Sandoval has since shown more respect towards her. Shay also added that Sandoval cannot stay with their mutual friend Tom Schwartz because Leviss is still living there.
The betrayal has affected not only Madix but also those in their social circle. Shay feels betrayed by Sandoval, Leviss, and Schwartz, all of whom were in her wedding. She expressed her frustration by jokingly saying she should replace Leviss’s face with Lala’s in her bridesmaids’ photos.
The end of the relationship between Sandoval and Leviss wasn’t the only contentious issue. Shay filed for a temporary restraining order against Leviss after an alleged fight that left Leviss with bruises on her face. After filming the season 10 reunion separately, Leviss released a statement declaring she intended to drop the restraining order.
The situation remains complicated and emotional for everyone involved. Still, Shay’s positive update on Madix suggests that things may slowly be getting better for her.
