Raquel Leviss’ Family Contacts FBI Over Death Threats Received After Affair with Tom Sandoval

Raquel Leviss and her family have contacted the FBI after receiving violent and graphic death threats over social media and the phone amid the backlash to her affair with Tom Sandoval. The FBI has not confirmed whether they are investigating the death threats. Leviss has also been the target of public ire since news broke about her affair and filed a temporary restraining order against Scheana Shay, but later dropped it.

Raquel Leviss’ family contacted the FBI after she received death threats in response to her affair with Tom Sandoval, though the FBI declined to confirm whether they had been contacted or not.

Reality TV star Raquel Leviss and her family have reportedly contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) following violent and graphic death threats, allegedly made online and over the phone, amid backlash over her affair with Tom Sandoval. Leviss, 28, a former pageant queen who appeared on the reality show Vanderpump Rules, has been a target of public criticism and scrutiny since news of her affair with Sandoval, 40, broke last year. Sandoval was in a nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix when the affair occurred.

Although the FBI has not confirmed whether it has received contact from Leviss or her family out of policy, a spokesperson encouraged anyone who feels their life is in danger to call 911. The FBI said it neither confirms nor denies investigations.

Leviss first made headlines when she filed a temporary restraining order against fellow Vanderpump Rules cast member Scheana Shay in March 2021, alleging physical assault. Shay later denied the allegations. The restraining order was eventually dropped, but not before the reunion for the show was taped. During the first part of the reunion, filmed on May 24, Leviss was separated from Shay and other cast members such as Madix. She watched from a trailer, but will replace Shay in subsequent group segments.

In April 2021, Leviss also checked into a mental health facility following the scandal. Her representative confirmed that she was not undergoing treatment for substance abuse issues but was in rehab because she and her family had already decided she would enter a voluntary facility for mental health counseling before the relationship scandal broke.

Leviss’s representative, in confirming the death threats to Us Weekly on May 26, noted that the violent and graphic messages had been directed towards Leviss and her family. The representative did not provide additional details about the nature of the threats.
