Despite trying to stay calm, June admitted that there are days when she does not know how to deal with her daughter’s difficult situation. She expressed concern for Anna, saying that if she is struggling as a mother, she cannot imagine how Anna feels having to live with it day in and day out. The reality star also revealed that the lack of support they have received from other family members amid Anna’s cancer battle has been disappointing, with only a few close relatives showing up for her.
In regards to Anna’s children, June noted that her diagnosis has affected them in different ways. Anna’s eldest daughter Kaitlyn has become more clingy, while her youngest daughter Kylee is still too young to fully comprehend what is going on. Despite her past struggles with weight loss and drug addiction, June revealed that she is currently over three years sober and has no desire to use drugs again. Her husband Justin Stroud, who has also struggled with addiction, added that their support for one another helps more than any 12-step program. The couple does not talk or reminisce about their past addiction, but simply focus on being supportive, even through difficult times such as Anna’s cancer battle.
