Luis Ruelas, co-founder and executive vice president of Digital Media Solutions, has been hit with a class action lawsuit by Juanita Williams, who claims that the company and Choice Health Insurance sent her a series of telemarketing calls despite being on the national “Do Not Call” list. Williams is seeking $1,500 for every call she received and alleges that Digital Media Solutions generated her number as a potential sales lead for Choice Health. Ruelas has not addressed the claims or the lawsuit.
Ruelas has also been hit with a restraining order from ex-fiancee Vanessa Reiser, who claims that he hired a private investigation company to stalk and harass her under false pretenses using the fake name ‘Elana Berkelhammer’. Reiser, a licensed therapist specialising in narcissistic abuse, sought out the protective order out of fear. Ruelas has not addressed the claims nor the restraining order.

Luis “Louie” Ruelas, the husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, has faced legal troubles in both his personal and business life. In May 2023, Ruelas’ company Digital Media Solutions was named in a class action lawsuit filed by Juanita Williams. Williams claimed that Ruelas’ tech company and Choice Health Insurance repeatedly made telemarketing calls to her despite being on the national “Do Not Call” list. She sought $1,500 for every call she received. In addition, Williams alleged that she was told by Choice Health Insurance that Digital Media Solutions provided her number as a potential sales lead. Ruelas has not addressed the lawsuit publicly.
Shortly after news of the lawsuit, Ruelas faced another legal issue. According to Us Weekly, he was hit with a restraining order from his ex-fiancée, Vanessa Reiser. Reiser accused Ruelas of harassing her through a private investigator. She claimed that Ruelas hired Richard ‘Bo’ Dietl’s private investigation company to place a fraudulent undercover covert plant using the fake name ‘Elana Berkelhammer’ to stalk, harass, and otherwise appear as a ‘patient’ of her. Reiser’s attorney, Douglas Anton, alleged that Ruelas hired the investigator to intimidate the licensed therapist, who specializes in narcissistic abuse. Anton claimed that the investigator visited Reiser as a patient three or four times and asked strange questions about her former relationship with Ruelas. Reiser sought a restraining order out of fear, and her lawyer alleged that Ruelas acted with contempt of prior Civil Restraint Orders/Agreements. Ruelas has not commented on the situation.
Despite these legal issues, Ruelas has continued to focus on his business ventures. He founded DMS in 2012 and serves as a co-founder and executive vice president of business development. Ruelas is also the founder of Men of Legacy, which aims to empower young men. Recently, Ruelas has been enjoying his wedded bliss with Teresa Giudice, whom he married in August 2022. Ruelas and Giudice have not publicly addressed the legal troubles surrounding Ruelas.
