Love Is Blind’s Jackie Bonds Claims Netflix Cancelled Her Reunion Appearance Due to “Mental Health” Concerns

Love Is Blind contestant Jackie Bonds has claimed that Netflix cancelled her flight to the show’s live reunion, and prevented her from attending, citing mental health concerns. Speaking to TheWrap, Bonds, 27, alleged that the decision was communicated to her and her boyfriend with just two days’ notice, and that the couple were given a conference call with a psychologist ahead of the cancelled appearance.
Bonds, a dental assistant, had earlier conceded that her situation with fellow Love Is Blind contestant Marshall Glaze, who she was due to marry, was portrayed inaccurately on the reality series. She has since gone public with a relationship with fellow competitor Josh Demas, who she is living with almost a year after their initial meeting.

Love Is Blind cast member Jackie Bonds has claimed that Netflix stopped her attending the show’s live reunion due to ‘mental health’ concerns and cancelled her flight to the event at short notice.

Love Is Blind’s Jackie Bonds has accused Netflix of preventing her from attending the show’s reunion and cancelling her flight due to “mental health” concerns. In an interview with TheWrap, Jackie claimed that a psychologist instructed her and her boyfriend Josh Demas not to attend the taping the day before it was due to happen. Jackie was allowed to speak during a pre-taped interview with cohost Vanessa Lachey but was upset that she had been edited out of the live show. She claimed that Netflix edited episodes to create a false narrative of her relationship with Josh.

Jackie has denied dating Josh while she was engaged to fellow show contestant Marshall Glaze. After breaking off her engagement, Jackie became linked to Josh, and the couple now live together. She believes their relationship was meant to be and would not have been affected by the order in which they were partnered on the show. Jackie said that she wanted “them to admit that the scenes were messed up”, but that Marshall had already “admitted and clarified” events.

Jackie’s allegations follow reports from some Love is Blind cast members who claimed the show subjected them to “emotional warfare”. Production company Kinetic Content denied the allegations, stating it has “rigorous protocols in place to care for each person before, during, and after filming”. Jackie has called on Netflix to admit that the way it has portrayed events on the show was misleading.
