Lisa Vanderpump’s Pump Restaurant Lounge to Close After 10 Years of Business due to Lease Expiration & High Rent Increase

Lisa Vanderpump’s Pump Restaurant Lounge is set to close after a decade of being in business, largely due to hefty increases in rent. Vanderpump’s daughter, Pandora Todd, said the family will be opening at least two restaurants with Caesars Entertainment in the near future. Meanwhile, Vanderpump has asked viewers not to take their anger over cast members’ inappropriate actions out on the Vanderpump establishments, following a backlash to an affair involving cast members that led to negative Yelp reviews and social media comments.

Lisa Vanderpump’s Pump Restaurant Lounge is closing after 10 years due to a huge increase in rent by the landlords, but the Vanderpump family is looking to the future of their establishments and will be opening at least two more restaurants with Caesars Entertainment in the coming year.

Lisa Vanderpump’s Pump Restaurant Lounge in West Hollywood is closing after a decade of business due to a “huge increase in rent by the landlords,” according to Vanderpump’s daughter Pandora Todd. Despite rumors surrounding the restaurant’s closure, Vanderpump took to Twitter to confirm that the establishment will be open as normal and that the family is looking toward “the future of Vanderpump establishments.” Todd said that the family plans to open at least two more restaurants with Caesars Entertainment in the coming year.

Pump first came under scrutiny in March when Us Weekly obtained a report from the Alcoholic Beverage Control, confirming that the restaurant had its general eating license and its event permits suspended. This led to reports of a possible closure, but Vanderpump clarified that the issue with the temporary suspension was related to the restaurant’s upcoming lease expiration. Despite their successful operation of 37+ establishments, the high rent was deemed “untenable,” according to Todd.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and her husband Ken Todd, owners of several restaurants including TomTom and SUR, have been subjects of headlines for months because of their involvement with the Vanderpump Rules cast. In March, cast member Tom Sandoval’s affair with co-star Raquel Leviss led to the end of his relationship with Ariana Madix, causing backlash toward new establishment Schwartz & Sandy’s and prompting Vanderpump to ask viewers “not to take out their frustrations on the businesses”.

Despite the challenges faced by the family, they remain positive about their future prospects and remain grateful for the support they have received over the past decade. The Pump Lounge will remain open throughout Pride Month to “support the local community with one last hurrah,” according to Todd’s statement. Vanderpump fans can still visit their other establishments including TomTom and SUR in the months following the closure.
