Kody Brown Reveals He’s Glad He & Meri Brown Didn’t Have More Children in Sister Wives Special

Kody Brown and Meri Brown expressed gratitude for not having more children due to their fertility issues and unhealthy marriage at the time. They reflected on previous episodes where they considered IVF but later changed their minds about expanding their family. Meri talked about her fertility struggles and the emotional impact of a past miscarriage, revealing her sorrow and pain, but also finding healing in a moment of joy.

Kody and Meri Brown reflected on their fertility issues and past pregnancy struggles, ultimately realizing that they were glad they didn’t have more children due to their unhealthy relationship at the time.

The Sister Wives stars Kody Brown and Meri Brown recently took a walk down memory lane in Sunday’s episode of the Sister Wives Special: Look Back, Where We Started, reflecting on their fertility issues and their struggle to expand their family. Kody, 54, expressed relief that they did not have more children. He admitted, “It wouldn’t have been good for the child because Meri and I weren’t healthy then.” His reflections come in light of their past optimism about doing invitro fertilization (IVF) in 2012.

During a throwback episode, Meri, 52, expressed her desire to have another baby, saying, “It just freaks me out to go through that again. I want to have another baby. I would love that.” Kody also seemed to be on board with the idea at the time, but in 2013, they both appeared to have changed their mind about having more kids. Kody confessed that he would do it if it just happened, but he was not eager for it.

Their struggle with fertility was compounded by a miscarriage in the mid-2000s after trying for more than a decade. This difficult period led to the realization that their marriage was not healthy. Despite their ups and downs romantically, Meri expressed her desire to have more than one child. She had previously shared about her past miscarriage, and even in 2021, continues to reflect on her loss and the potential of what could have been.

The Sister Wives Special continues to air on TLC, offering fans a glimpse into the history of the Brown family and their experiences with fertility struggles.
