Katie Maloney Accuses Scheana Shay of an Invasion of Privacy Over Surprising Max Boyens Hookup

Katie Maloney accused Scheana Shay of invading her privacy by using a tracker to monitor the location of Max Boyens, which led to the revelation of Katie’s hookup with Max. This incident and its fallout, including discussions about the extent of Scheana’s tracking activities and the impact on personal relationships, are set to be explored in upcoming episodes of “Vanderpump Rules.”

Katie Maloney accuses Scheana Shay of invading her privacy by using a tracker to uncover Maloney’s hookup with Max Boyens, leading to a confrontation and discussions on privacy and personal boundaries within their social circle.

Scheana Shay’s got a knack for keeping tabs on folks. Like, 56 people’s whereabouts at her fingertips. And Katie Maloney? She’s not here for it. Not one bit.

In a juicy sneak peek for next week’s episode, Katie spills the tea to Ariana Madix. She’s 37, feeling a tad violated because Scheana, 38, decided to play detective. Tracked Max Boyens after a night out, which somehow led to Brock Davies spilling the beans to Tom Schwartz about Katie’s secret rendezvous with Max.

Katie’s not mincing words. “I don’t like this invasion of privacy that’s been happening all around,” she confesses to Ariana. Feels like her privacy’s been trampled on, all because Scheana had to track Max like some sort of spy.

Flashback to a clip from earlier this season. Scheana’s explaining her side. Says she was just checking if her friends got home safe. Noticed Max’s location and thought, “Oh, maybe he dropped Katie off.”

Ariana’s in the loop too. Turns out, Scheana’s got her location. But Ariana’s pondering, “How many people’s locations does she have? Does she just sit in bed and track everybody?”

Then there’s Brock, confronting Katie about her fling with Max, who happens to be Schwartz’s best buddy. It all went down on the March 26 episode. Katie and Schwartz, 41, had already called it quits in March 2022 after six years of marriage. Their divorce? Finalized later that year.

“We were partying the other night, and Katie left with somebody in your friend group. It’s your boy, bro. She f–ked your best friend,” Brock tells Schwartz. The evidence? A message from Max, his location pinging from Katie’s house. His response? An emoji of a face with eyes and a straight line, followed by, “It was bound to happen.”

Katie, on her part, has no regrets. Reflects on a moment three months into their separation when she asked Schwartz not to mess around in their friend group. His response? A shrug. Didn’t care what she thought.

Schwartz later shares an update on his friendship with Max. Says Max called him five days after the incident, sounding super uncomfortable. They grabbed lunch, and Max apologized. Schwartz chalks it up to “alcohol and proximity.”

He even jokes about not being able to picture Max and Katie together. Thinks it was mutual, but hints Katie might have been on a mission.

Katie, in her defense, denies making the first move. “It was not on my bucket list,” she says. Claims it was more Max flirting with her, which caught her off guard.

Max joined the Vanderpump Rules cast in season 8. Fans might recall his brief fling with Dayna Kathan before they split on screen. Dayna and Katie? They’ve become pals, co-hosting the “Disrespectfully” podcast together.

The podcast’s official account teases an upcoming episode where they’ll dive into the drama. They posted on Instagram, “We recorded this week’s episode of disrespectfully before the most recent episode of VPR aired. Yes … we will absolutely be discussing it on the pod next week. Stay tuned.”

Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. And for those who prefer streaming, it’ll be available on Peacock the next day.
