Love Is Blind season 2 alumni Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson have fueled rumors of a reconciliation with a cozy Instagram selfie captioned “Sup.” The couple ended the show married, attended couples therapy together, and planned a second wedding reception before calling it quits five months later. Nick recently slammed Bachelor Nation’s Nick Viall for disrespecting his nonprofit, which provides mental health and legal help to reality TV stars, in an Instagram post.
Love Is Blind exes Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson sparked rumors of a rekindled romance after posting a cozy selfie together on Instagram.
Love is Blind stars Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson have sparked rumours of a reconciliation. The former couple shared a selfie on Instagram, showing them snuggled up together, nearly one year after their split. The two were part of the second season of the hit Netflix dating show, which saw them fall in love and get married after meeting in the show’s dating pods.
Earlier this year, Ruhl and Thompson revealed they were attending couples therapy together, and planning a wedding reception for friends and family who were unable to attend their Love is Blind ceremony. However, the couple called time on their relationship five months after the season two reunion aired, and Ruhl filed for divorce in August 2022, one year after their wedding.
Since their split, both Ruhl and Thompson have been open about their mental health struggles. Thompson expressed his ongoing battle with anxiety and depression, while Ruhl admitted to having suicidal thoughts during her time on Love is Blind. Both have been vocal advocates for mental health and regularly engage in charitable work to raise awareness around the issue.
Recently, the couple teamed up to defend Thompson’s non-profit, the UCAN Foundation, which provides mental health and legal assistance to reality TV stars. The foundation was criticised by former Bachelor star Nick Viall, prompting Thompson to defend his organisation and condemn Viall’s comments.
While neither Ruhl nor Thompson has addressed the rumours of a potential reunion, their reconciliation wouldn’t be the first amongst Love is Blind contestants. The show has seen several couples rekindle their relationships after filming ended, including series one stars Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, who recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary.
