Arie Luyendyk Jr. recently revealed that he isn’t on good terms with Cirie Fields, his former co-contestant from their season of The Traitors. During a Q&A on Instagram, Arie responded to a fan’s question about whether he still kept in touch with Cirie with a definitive “no.” He elaborated that he believes Cirie won in a “dirty way” and stated that he would have felt differently if he had won.
The reality TV stars were a part of the inaugural season of The Traitors which premiered in January 2023. The show, which airs on Peacock, sees a group of contestants undertaking a murder mystery game, wherein they are divided into “faithfuls” and “traitors.” Arie and Cirie were part of the traitors team and made it to the end of the competition along with two faithfuls. After deciding whether to end the game and split the prize money or banish another person, Arie, Quentin, and Andie voted to end the game, while Cirie wanted to continue. This led Arie to reluctantly admit he was a traitor, leaving Cirie to take home all the money.
Following the show’s release, Cirie shared that she had considered splitting the cash prize with Arie but ultimately decided against it. Arie confessed his disappointment during a Q&A, stating that the move made the focus of the game about money, which he didn’t like. He also revealed that there was more to the endgame than what was shown in the competition. Despite Arie’s comments, Cirie has not addressed the situation.
