During the promotion of the upcoming season 6B of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Sammi explained that she initially believed Snooki was opening a shop similar to her own Sweetheart Coast storefront on the Ocean City, New Jersey boardwalk. However, she quickly discovered that this was not the case at all, leading her to admit her mistake and apologize to Snooki for her misunderstanding.
Sammi, the founder of Sweetheart Styles, emphasized that her decision to distance herself from the show and her former castmates was a personal one and had nothing to do with them. Despite the miscommunication and the discomfort it caused within the group, Sammi stated that she empathized with their initial upset, understanding their perspective. Among the upcoming season’s highlights is Sammi’s reunion with her ex-boyfriend Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, with whom she had a tumultuous on-and-off relationship between 2009 and 2014. Although the prospect of working together again was nerve-wracking for Sammi, she entered the experience with confidence in her ability to handle it. Ronnie had taken a break from the show to focus on his mental health in May 2021 following a domestic violence dispute, but he later returned, having not been charged with a crime.
While Sammi acknowledged that Ronnie is still considered part of the family, she does not foresee them rebuilding their friendship. She clarified that they are now simply coworkers and acknowledged that Ronnie is working on self-improvement, a journey that takes precedence.
