Former Below Deck Mediterranean star Malia White recently revealed during an exclusive interview with a popular entertainment magazine that she was originally meant to officiate her former costar Captain Sandy Yawn’s wedding. However, Malia joked that someone had “stole [her] spot.” Nevertheless, she remains supportive, saying, “[I’m] definitely going to the wedding.”
Malia’s friendship with Captain Sandy dates back to 2017, and fans of the show have seen their relationship grow on screen. The former costars have maintained a close connection, with Captain Sandy praising Malia’s leadership skills and calling her a “great captain.”
In the interview, Malia also hinted at potential future reality TV opportunities and expressed her openness to returning to the Below Deck franchise. “I’m always down for more Below Deck in the future,” she said. “But I think if they’re ready for the first female officer [on the show], then I’m ready.”
As for her other Below Deck Mediterranean costars, Malia shared that she remains close with Mzi “Zee” Dempers and Lloyd Spencer, and even mentioned having Thanksgiving dinner plans with them.
