Betty Shabazz was born on the 28th of May, 1934. She was popular for being a Civil Rights Leader. Teacher, civil rights activist, and wife of Malcolm X. She was named to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and was active in the NAACP after her husband’s assassination.

Betty Shabazz was born in Michigan. Born Betty Dean Sanders, she attended the historically black college Tuskegee University. Her grandson Malcolm set fire to her apartment, giving her severe burns which led to her death.
